After a less than thrilling experience at a floral shop (see preceeding Florist entry). My fiance and I have opted to try out Bellagala's florist. The only florist left for our wedding date was Jennifer F. That is fine with me though- she has some very stunning work on her online portfolio. (LOVE IT! DId anyone see the boquet with the tulips??? I happen to love tulips and I love what she did there!) All we had to do was put down our $200 deposit and now we meet with her. If, per chance, we don't like her work, prices etc- we can get our $200 back within 14 days of our meeting with her. Not too shabby!
I wish I had a better understanding of Belagala earlier on- it's really helpful to have the online payment system, reservation system and all of that. I have tried to contact countless other florists, and they either didn't write back or the communication just came to a halt. OR in the case of the flower shop we went to- just poor communication between employees leading to a poor customer experience.

say yes....
To the dress.
My fiance was picking on me a little bit for watching this via netflicks. "Aren't all the episodes the same? They're always at the same store."
"Yes, but that's the premise of the show."
He didn't have much to say after that.
All these episodes make me wonder about my own dress. Will I love it as much as I think I do? Should I have chosen something/one of the other top contenders? I ordered 1 size down to allocate for losing the baby weight- will the baby weight come off? Should I have chosen the dress that made my mom cry after the veil was on (but here's the thing- I don't like veils- they make me itch). My mom has been extremely reassuring saying to me time and time again that she thinks I made the right choice. It's nice to hear! One of my bridesmaids went through the same question- did I make the right choice? Its good to know its not just me.
Maybe someday if Randy and I ever renew our vows I'll take a trip to kleinfeld to search for the dress. Maybe.

Waiting for the dress...
I was so nervous that there was some unknown, unforseen reason my dress didn't get ordered. I don't know why- it was completely unwarranted. I called Mestad's to make sure that it was going to be in on time- they confirmed that yes, the dress is anticipated within the next month.
Phew.
Next item: revising our wedding and reception times.

The dress....
I've been so nervous about my dress coming in. Did anyone else feel that way?
All the time and the trying on dresses and figuring out what you're looking for- what is you- what's not.
I also ordered a size smaller since I've been working off the baby weight. Since July I've lost 12" between my hips, waist and other parts.
Did anyone else have nervous anticipation with their gown?
Were you disappointed when you got to try on YOUR exact dress or was there a sigh of relief?

Florist
After a long game of phone tag, my fiance and I are going to meet with one of the Forists we are considering. Paeonia Floral is in Robbinsdale. The business was actually one of my prospects when I worked at a newspaper. I think the contact that we had may have been dismissed from her position. The owner, Heather, called me back on Saturday and we were FINALLY able to nail down a time for our floral consultation. Paeonia is a locally owned floral boutique- and Heather broke off from the well known Stems and Vines. We'll see how the meeting goes. If we don't like what we see, we may meet with The Loft or go with one of the Bellagala florists.
Does anyone have any tips on working with the florist? Questions to ask during the consultation? Anyone?
