The Knot.com

Using the various tools on The Knot is fairly user friendly.

Free Wedding Website
There are so many designs and colors to choose from that your site will be uniquely yours. There are also bonus pages that you can personalize with any other information or special events for the wedding.

My Checklist
Provides a month by month to-do list for you to keep you on task.

Budget
Fill in the amount you're thinking of spending, the number of male and female attendants and the budget is magically magically developed for you. No tough number crunching or formulas. They even provide the option to add other categories that may not have been included. You can also delete unnecessary items and the funds from that will be distributed elsewhere. You can have the advice listed alongside the budget items or just leave it blank. There's also a payment tracker to show and track what you've deposited and what is due. Within the details section you can select the due dates, form of payment, and if you'd like to be notified via email when to make the payment. For the dinner- it includes the price per guest- very handy when you're speaking to caterers and they speak in a per-person total rather than the grand total.
The Guest List Manager
Start making your guest list and checking it twice. Create an "A" list and a "B" guest list. Wondering how you'll keep everyone straight and who is invited by what side? There's an option for the following:
Bride
Bride's Family
Bride and Groom
Groom
Groom's Family

It'll help keep the who's who and what's what straight. You can also put the number expected to attend so you can get a preliminary head count- which helps for finding venues that will accommodate a party that size as well as well as how many invitations you will need and whether or not they have accepted the invitation. Each guest (group) also gets their own profile- so you can put their +1 name, if they are invited to other functions- including: engagement parties, showers, rehearsal dinner, Bachelor or Bachelorette Party, Sunday Brunch and "Other". You can also check if they are in the wedding party, single, if they have a child, or if they're from out of town. Also, if you're assigning table numbers- there's a place for that. You can also enter their email address, physical address, home and work numbers. This does a lot of the work for you. Trying to get who will get hotel gift bags straight? Just keep track of the out of town guests and there you go.

My Notebook
Did you find something on the site that you like? Wondering how you'll keep it all straight? Wedding gowns can be saved to your profile- you can send them to friends or remove them when you've decided "no way". This is true from everything from the grooms tux down to accessories, articles, and china patterns.

Save the Date
Going green? Trying to save money? Ditch the snail mail save the dates and save money by utilizing the free save the dates. Be careful though- make sure you have everyone's email address correct! The save the date includes When, Where, How, Why, ... ok we know the why and it's not actually listed- but you can share the accommodations and area attractions that your guests may also be interested in.

My Real Wedding
Ever wonder how people get features as a fabulous wedding? Upload your real wedding photos to the website! You can also see what others have done for their weddings in your state- and in some cases- metro area.

My Shopping List
A check list that you can update with everything that you will need or may need to purchase for the wedding and reception so you don't forget anything!

Community
Set up a profile and get talking to other brides about their experiences, questions you have on anything from vendors to etiquette- in your state/ metro area or nationwide. From what I've seen some of the brides even become friends.

Local Resources
